Organized Mom-Zine

June 2012

Welcome to the June issue of the Organized Mom-Zine bringing you quick tips and support to help you get your family organized.

Ok so the kids are home now for summer vacay, but YOU still have your regular running around to do, right? Shopping, groceries, errands, you know what I mean.

If your kids are old enough to be left home alone for a short while (HALLELUJAH!), then you won't need to view the three most common traps and treatments for traveling with kids. But if you have younger kids, it's a must read to avoid sibling problems in the back seat.

Let's talk about sibling problems for a minute. I know you might be super excited to have the entire summer to spend with your darling little ones, but let's be honest--does sibling rivalry make you want to scream? You can be honest--I've been there, believe me. Sibling rivalry can be reduced by doing two easy things. So get the summer off to a good start.

In a nutshell, your summer will be more smooth if you remember to recognize the age and developmental differences in your kids. Have you forgotten what age appropriate expectations look like? Clarify your rules and have appropriate expectations. Put the time into actually teaching your children what to do to get along and contribute to the family.
