Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and survived the December stress and clutter. Have you settled into "normal" again? Have your kids found a place for all their new presents?

Speaking of kids and presents, should kids write thank you notes? In this day and age, it's a habit rarely seen among young people. Kids won't naturally have a desire to express gratitude for their presents, so if you want your kids to write thank you notes, it's up to you to make it happen. The good news is that it's easier than you might think.

Here's how to get your kids to write thank you notes without too much stress for anyone.

Now that we're in the new year, it's time to think about resolutions. What are your goals for 2012? What can you do to move yourself closer to your goals for yourself, your family and your home?

Is this the year you get rid of clutter and organize your home?
Take some baby steps toward having the home you can be proud of and be comfortable in.

Last question: are you ready to delegate some of the housework to your kids? No matter the age of your kids, there is something they can do to contribute to the household. Here are 8 must-do steps to teach your kids how to clean. Put your kids to work and enjoy a cleaner home.
